“Love the One You’re With” – The survivors from the crash are asked to make an almost impossible decision that will affect the rest of their lives. Meanwhile, tension grows between Jackson and April after they’re forced to work together, and Alex tries to restrain himself with one of the interns, on “Grey’s Anatomy,” THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

“Grey’s Anatomy” stars Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey, Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd, Sandra Oh as Cristina Yang, Justin Chambers as Alex Karev, Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey, James Pickens, Jr. as Richard Webber, Sara Ramirez as Callie Torres, Eric Dane as Mark Sloan, Kevin McKidd as Owen Hunt, Jessica Capshaw as Arizona Robbins, Jesse Williams as Jackson Avery and Sarah Drew as April Kepner.

Guest cast for “Love the One You’re With” includes William Daniels as Dr. Thomas, Steven Culp as Dr. Parker, Camilla Luddington as Jo, Gaius Charles as Shane, Jerrika Hinton as Stephanie, Stefanie Black as Roxie, Ned Vaughn as airline lawyer, Skyler Day as Emery, Rebecca Lowman as Hazel and Meeghan Holaway as attorney.

The episode was written by Zoanne Clark and directed by Debbie Allen.

Sorry for the delay, my FTP server is really really slow for some unknown reason so this has taken longer than anticipated, the clips plus next weeks promos are still currently uploading and I’ll post them when they are up.  I have to say I really loved this episode, it was a great opener.  I found it very character centered so the Ellen fan in me is very please, the MD fan not so much but honestly this episode was really about sending Mark off, and I felt the storyline was credible and moving and was a very beautiful tribute to Eric Dane who has played Mark Sloan so brilliantly since he graced the show back in Season 2.  So the lack of MD, I find myself unable to be upset over it.

Many people said that they wish that Meredith would remember that Derek is her husband not Cristina, and this is very true every other time.  But you have to give her a free pass this time.  She lost her sister and now Mark is dying in front of her, she’s all twitchy and not dealing and its understandable that she couldn’t stand to be there, that she ran.  Sure it would have been nice to see her there by Derek’s side, but I really can’t begrudge her at this point because she’s really in pain at the moment and is one step away from a complete and total meltdown.
