The second episode of the tenth season of “Grey’s Anatomy,” called “Everybody’s Crying Mercy,” will see Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) adjusting to taking care of a newborn. But back at the hospital, life is much more complicated.
ABC’s synopsis for the episode reads, “Meredith and Derek adjust to life at home with a newborn but find it difficulty being away from the hospital; Arizona tries to takes steps to fix her broken marriage; Alex and Jo navigate through their new relationship; and Owen clashes with Jackson over financial issues at the hospital. Meanwhile, April anxiously awaits her boards results.”
Two episodes later, the show will air its landmark 200th episode. The episode, called “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” will have an aptly celebratory theme, with the doctors hosting a fundraising gala to raise money for the ailing hospital.
The synopsis for “Puttin’ on the Ritz” reads: ”The doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial throw a fundraising gala which turns wildly competitive after Jackson makes a rash promise. Back at the hospital, Bailey’s patience is tested when she has to deal with several extremely difficult patients. Meanwhile, Shane and Stephanie handle an incredibly busy ER by themselves and Alex reveals an emotional secret to Jo on a very special 200th episode of ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’”
The cast of “Grey’s” held a party in Los Angeles this past Saturday night to celebrate the 200th episode. The cast members revealed some information about the episode to Entertainment Weekly.
TV Guide — Patrick Dempsey is riding a unicycle. It’s 10 o’clock on a Wednesday morning, and the Grey’s Anatomy leading man is playfully entertaining the cast and crew between scenes at a downtown Los Angeles theater complex. Long before Dempsey stepped into Derek Shepherd’s sexy scrubs, he was (hidden-talent alert!) a champion juggler and avid student of the circus arts, and it’s clear as he pedals around the set clad in a black tux that he’s still got serious skills. “I’m tired of being an international superstar,” he cracks. “I’m running away to join the circus!”
No need: The circus has come to him. Scattered among the dozens of formally dressed extras in today’s party scene – an over-the-top fund-raiser for Grey Sloan Memorial that Jackson (Jesse Williams) has organized to benefit the superstorm-ravaged Seattle hospital – is a plethora of colorful performers, including a fire-breather, a brave soul on sky-high stilts, a tightrope walker and several eye-poppingly flexible contortionists. “Jackson thinks it’s going to be a very tasteful, elegant gala,” says executive producer Shonda Rhimes, “and instead it turns out to be a hot mess.”Off screen, the celebratory spectacle feels appropriate: After all, it’s not every day that a network series hits the 200-episode milestone, especially in today’s fractured, übercompetitive TV landscape. It’s rarer still that a medical drama in its 10th season should still have such a strong ratings pulse. Grey‘s Anatomy currently ranks as ABC’s No. 1 drama among the advertiser-coveted demographic of adults 18 to 49 and remains a Top 20 drama among total viewers.
I am so sorry for the delay in these, I had work after the premiere and was exhausted when I got home. The next day I was driving all day and when I got home to my parents my mum’s net was terrible and downloading the episode took forever, by the time it was done I was heading home again and was busy shopping and then working. So its been pretty crazy. I am working again after the next episode tomorrow, so its unlikely I will get the caps up right away, probably after my shift if I am not tired, otherwise they’ll go up the next day definitely as I have the weekend off, yay!
So without further ado, here are the captures of Ellen in the Season 10 premiere of Grey’s Anatomy.
Ellen appeared on Watch What Happens Live to promote Grey’s Anatomy Season 10 on September 23. She was asked some pretty intense questions like ‘who she missed most: Katherine Heigl or Isaiah Washington’ and ‘Who was the bigger bitch to work with: Katherine Heigl or Isaiah Washington’ to which she immediately answered Isaiah. She also was asked about her EMmy comments to which she said were meant to be off the record but she stood by them none-the less. I will try grab the video for you all.
